Houki Shinonono Quadriplegic

Another fanart on an anime character. In this case, I did Houki Shinonono, from the anime/manga series Infinite Stratos. She's my favourite character of the series, so I did her as a quadriplegic. 

A way to explain her condition is that she was seriously wounded from a battle who put her at the verge of death. She survived, but her vertebrae were damaged, leaving her as a quadriplegic, unable to move her body below the neck, but she is able to feel most of her body. Also, she cannot talk, and depends completely of the breathing vent and the tracheostomy to live. Fortunately, she is equipped with a pair of computers in the powerchair. One of them is a Dynavox device, who interprets the movement of her eyes and transforms it into voice. The second computer obtains signals from her nerves and neurons to move the powerchair around as she likes.

Despite being almost completely dependant on others and being retired as a I.S pilot, she now helps the academy with logistic and support operations, being a sort of "Oracle" (yeah, the one from Batman)  for the remaining pilots. Also, her love for Ichika grew even more after being this way. She's glad to be of help for her partners, even if she cannot battle anymore.
